New Track Layout Revealed
Finland’s biggest and only supercross race, Tampere Supercross, will take place in just over two weeks. The event will once again be held at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre, which provides an excellent setting for the competition. The track layout has now been revealed, and Jussi Nikkilä from Tampere Motocross, who is responsible for designing the track, is looking forward to this year’s event.
– This year, we are returning to a horseshoe-shaped track, which suits the Tampere arena really well. The track will have a good flow, so we can expect some close racing. The whoop section will certainly create differences between the riders, and the corner immediately after it offers a great overtaking opportunity. In addition, the track features two 180-degree turns that practically invite block passes, Nikkilä says with a smile.
Tampere Supercross will take place on November 6–7. Tickets are now on sale, and the Premium grandstands located near the starting turns are almost sold out for Saturday.
