Tampere Supercross Pays Starting Fees to Finnish Riders
For the third time, Tampere Supercross is making Finnish motorsports history by becoming the first event organizer in Finland to pay starting fees to domestic motocross riders.
Racing is expensive, and by offering a starting fee we want to lower the financial barrier for Finnish riders to take part in the season finale and Finland’s premier Supercross event.
Our goal is to give Finland’s top riders the opportunity to compete in front of thousands of spectators while reducing their costs and providing valuable exposure for both the riders and their sponsors.
Starting Fee Eligibility
The €200 starting fee will once again be paid under the same conditions as in previous years.
To qualify automatically, riders must have finished the current season among the top ten overall in the Finnish MX1 or MX2 Championship standings.
Riders who do not meet this requirement may also apply directly to the event organizer for consideration.
To receive the starting fee, riders must complete their event entry no later than September 30 through the Finnish Motorcycling Federation’s MOTTI competition management system.
The €200 starting fee will be paid according to the established procedures used in previous years, for example through the rider’s coaching or athlete support fund where applicable.
