Harri Kullas Returns to Tampere Supercross

Harri Kullas, the most successful rider in Tampere Supercross history, will once again line up at this year’s event. The race will also mark Kullas’ only appearance on Finnish soil during the 2023 season.
Six-time Tampere Dominator winner Harri Kullas will return to Tampere Supercross on November 10–11 as he looks to add another chapter to his remarkable record at the event.
Kullas has spent the 2023 season competing professionally in the British motocross championships and also raced in the American motocross series. He has once again been selected to represent Estonia at the Motocross of Nations, further underlining his status as one of Europe’s top riders.
“It’s great to be coming back to Tampere, and even better to see Tampere Supercross return. The event has attracted plenty of attention outside Finland as well. When my friends in England heard it was back, they immediately started planning a trip to Finland,” says Kullas.
Tampere Supercross was last held in 2019 before being forced into a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath. This year’s event will be the ninth edition and has already generated significant interest among riders and fans alike.
“Tampere Supercross is the biggest motocross event in Finland. It receives a lot of public attention, which also provides excellent exposure for sponsors. That’s one of the reasons the event is so attractive. The venue is the perfect size, it’s been sold out on several occasions, and the atmosphere is always fantastic. Tampere Motocross Club has also done an outstanding job organizing the event over the years,” Kullas says.
A full-time professional motocross rider, Kullas has claimed an incredible nine individual evening victories at Tampere Supercross. He also speaks highly of the circuit built inside the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre.
“The track has always been among the best indoor supercross circuits in Europe. The arena is large enough to build a proper layout, and over the years there have been some fantastic track designs. I especially remember the 2014 circuit, which featured a long rhythm section. You could jump a quad, then land on top of a triple-tabletop before jumping off it. It was a huge section, and I still remember the feeling the first time I cleared it,” Kullas recalls.
Despite his already unmatched record at Tampere Supercross, Kullas’ ambitions remain unchanged.
“I’m coming to win and to put on a great show for the fans. I hope we’ll see a big crowd in the stands,” he says.
Tampere Supercross and Offroad Expo will take place at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on November 10–11, 2023.
